Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT – “A Stylish Ragtop With a Dash of Panache”

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

I love this car.

Its look is, as you might imagine with any convertible, sexy. In my opinion, the Spyder GT from Mitsubishi is hotter and more fun to drive than any of the other convertibles on the market. They amped up the look with a distinctive sleek design, even with the roof retracted.

The front bucket seats fit an average size person comfortably and even have room to spare for above average. The seats have adjustable lumbar support and the steering wheel has a touch height adjustable model with audio controls. Being a convertible, the rear bench seat is typically small. Like most convertibles, they have very little leg room and comfort is not easily found. The back bench is best for short drives with smaller people. Take it from me, and my contorted passengers. New Hybrid Concept zC of Mitsubishi at Tokyo:Preview

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Mitsubishi launched it’s hybrid concept car called Concept cX first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007. But this year seems that Mitsubishi would gonna introduce a new concept vehicle at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, a new Concept cX design but feature plug-in hybrid technology, named Concept zC. According to Autocar, the Concept zC will have styling inspired by the firm Racing Lancing with hatchback bodystyle and raised ground clearance, also with the GS platform from the Lancer and Outlander addition. But I guess it will need more three years to make the new concept to production.

Mitsubishi i MiEV hopes to hang out in Hong Kong

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

As Mitsubishi prepares for its electric car, the i MiEV, to go on sale this summer in Japan and the UK, more territories wishing to try it out on their own streets are coming forward. We can now add the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, known to most of us simply as “Hong Kong,” to a list that includes Finland, New Zealand and the U.S.

Universal Cars Ltd, the Hong Kong distributor for MiMoCo, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) with the Environment Bureau today that could see the little electric jellybean rolling down Hong Kong Streets by May. The trial is seen as a precursor to the vehicle being offered for sale there and will examine such issues as market acceptability and the “suitability of the charging infrastructure.” China is also home to several automakers with their own electric car ambitions. BYD is supposed to begin selling its all-electric e6 later this year and Chery just revealed a prototype of their S18. Press release after the break.
