Toyota Recalls MillionsToyota recalls millions of unsafe vehicles. The Toyota massive quagmire most likely won’t take down this Goliath in the car industry, but it will hurt the company. It’s going to be a long time for this Japanese car manufacturer to re-gain our trust again.

It looks like 2010 just isn’t going to be Toyota’s year. In less than a month, the Japanese mega-giant car manufacturer has been humbled, a mighty goliath brought down by a tiny stone. Well, maybe that’s how some might see it. However, the stone isn’t quite so tiny. When important parts of a vehicle, like the gas pedal and brakes, begin to malfunction, it cannot be taken likely. Toyota Recall November 2009 Problem With The Pedals Can Get Stuck In The Floor Mats

Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it will replace accelerator gas pedals on about 4 million recalled vehicles in the United States because the pedals can get stuck in the floor mats, another blow to the reputation of the world’s largest automaker.

Toyota said dealers will offer to shorten the length of the gas pedals by about 3/4 inch beginning in January, as a stopgap measure while the company develops replacement pedals for their vehicles. New pedals will be installed by dealers on a rolling basis beginning in April, and some vehicles will have brake override systems installed as a precaution.
